So here are the two concepts I decided to pursue for this project. I need to decide between one of these to develop further this week. Any suggestions?
So I have to design a family of flash drives; 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB for my DesCom class. We need to pick a company to brand them through. I love Naoto Fukasawa and plusminuszero's simplistic forms. Pure geometry, clean lines, and beautiful proportions make these design truly timeless. I will post my progress on of these design in the coming weeks.
Askul is one of Japan’s fastest growing companies, a mailorder business with a selection of over 25,000 products and 24-hour service to the whole country. Among its product you can find everything from furniture and computers to food and office supplies. The problem was that Askul’s own brand of products was not highly visible in the product catalogue, which negatively affected sales.
Scandinavian design consultancies Stockholm Design Lab and BVD fueled the redesign of Askul.
A 14" high table lamp I did a while back made of bent, powder coated steel. While still flat, the steel was milled to allow thin (flat) wiring to layed to reach the LED box. Comes in a variety of colors.
Nick Veaseyworks with x-ray and other scientific imaging equipment making the everyday beautiful. The resultant images are often described as otherworldly. With an unconventional approach and a tenacious attitude Veasey bangs down doors to get the best shot.
I am a Junior in the Industrial Design Program at the University of Cincinnati. I have been given the encouragement to document my winter quarter's progress throughout my Design Communication course. I figured I would start by blogging some of my personal projects as well as things I find inspiring and cool.
Above is a chair I designed a few months back. Playing off some modern Danish and Scandinavian woodworking methods, I came up with this chair. This is made of injection moulded plastic, however. Still not 100% complete, but what ever is?
